Design a document

Open Docket → Templates and choose a preset. Duplicate a preset before changing it so the original design remains available.

Use real preview data

Choose an order from the preview selector. Docket reads that order for the on-screen preview only. Switching orders is useful for checking discounts, long item lists, tax rates, missing addresses, B2B data, and different currencies.

Arrange sections

• Add a section from the left panel.
• Drag sections into the order you want in the center preview.
• Select a section to edit its settings in the right panel.
• Turn off Show this section to hide a section without deleting it.
• Add a page break when a new section must always begin on another page.
• Use Two columns to place address or payment information side by side.

Each section has the settings it needs, such as spacing, alignment, text size, style, color, border, and background. Display rules can show a section only when an order has a discount, belongs to a business customer, or uses different billing and shipping countries.

Global document settings

Choose A4, Letter, 80 mm, or 58 mm paper and review margins before printing. Brand colors, logo, uploaded fonts, and repeating headers or footers apply to the whole document.

Save and restore safely

Every save keeps a separate version. Open Saved versions, choose the version you want, and select Restore. Restoring does not delete any later work.

Advanced code view

Advanced editing is optional and intended for people comfortable with HTML and CSS. For safety, scripts and content loaded from other websites are blocked. If an advanced change does not look right, choose Revert to visual version or restore an earlier saved version. The visual editor never requires code.

Before publishing a change

Preview an ordinary order, a long order, and an order with tax or discounts. Check every supported paper size you intend to use. Then download one PDF and inspect it outside the editor before enabling automations.
